Uncontested divorce is when the defendant in a divorce does not oppose, this is usual as a result where both parties agree on the terms of their divorce and have sought the assistance of a lawyer to mediate the disputes. This is quicker and cheaper than a contested divorce. If spouses settle even before a summons is issued, it will make the process much easier. Where kids are involved, a parenting plan is also necessary. It is procedural requirement that the Office of the Family Advocate review and endorse the parental plan to ensure that not only is it practical but also that it is in the best interest of the minor child/ren
